TVG provides up to 8 CE placements to members of the Traveller community. CE workers are an excellent addition to the team as they are strategically placed within each section of the project so that they can support the day to day running of the overall project. Many of the current staff in TVG have come through the CE Scheme to take up permanents or fixed terms contracts in TVG. The posts available on CE Scheme include Childcare Assistants, Administration, Reception, Care Taker, Community Development Worker and the Drug and Alcohol Project.
CE placements can have duration of 3 years per participant and can be very beneficial to the participant as well as the project. CE Schemes support participants to prepare and build the skill sets required for the workplace. TVG supports CE workers to take up training opportunities in their personal interest and can assist in developing skills to achieve career development goals.
